Helen's Biography

Helen Racic is an associate securities lawyer at Maxis Law. Her practice consists primarily of corporate and securities law with a focus on public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, and continuous disclosure obligations.

Helen’s practice includes advising public companies on a wide range of transactional matters, including reverse takeovers, plans of arrangement, amalgamations, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements. She represents clients across a spectrum of industries, including natural resources, technology, and medical marijuana. Helen works closely with mining issuers, assisting with acquisitions of mineral properties, property option agreements, and mining technical disclosure. As well, Helen regularly advises clients on general corporate matters, securities, and stock exchange compliance as well as continuous disclosure and corporate governance issues.

In 2006, Helen obtained her law degree from the University of British Columbia. She joined Maxis Law in 2008 after articling at a boutique litigation firm specializing in corporate, commercial, and securities litigation. Helen is a member of the Securities Law, Business Law, and Natural Resource Law subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.
