Jesslyn Chong practices in the area of securities, corporate, and commercial law.
Jesslyn has experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and reorganizations, and other general corporate and commercial matters. She has assisted clients from a diverse range of industries, including natural resources, food and beverage, real estate development, and Indigenous economic development. As someone with a business background, she endeavours to help clients achieve their strategic objectives and to anticipate legal issues that may affect them in the future.
In 2018, Jesslyn obtained her JD degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. During her time there, she was involved in the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and Pro Bono Students Canada, where she volunteered with a non-profit legal advocacy program for low-income women.
Prior to joining Maxis Law Corporation, Jesslyn articled and practiced at a boutique corporate and commercial law firm. In her spare time, she enjoys being active, travelling, dancing, and learning new languages.
