Sean Hawkins is an associate lawyer with Maxis Law practicing in corporate, securities and commercial law. Sean advises clients on various matters including security offerings, going-public transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and drafting commercial contacts. He has advised numerous public and private companies across a variety of industries, including mining and technology. He regularly provides legal advice to clients with respect to corporate law requirements, regulatory and stock exchange compliance and continuous disclosure obligations. Whether navigating complex legal issues or working on time-sensitive transactions, Sean can provide an eye for detail and effective communication to deliver exceptional client service.
Sean received his JD degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. During this time, he volunteered as a clinician for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, competed in the 2017 Wilson Moot and served as the Executive Editor for the UBC Law Review. Sean joined Maxis Law Corporation after articling at a boutique firm specializing in real estate, wills and estates and corporate law.
Sean is a contributor to the securities law chapter of the British Columbia Company Law Practice Manual. When Sean leaves the office, he enjoys Pilates, dog training and watching horror films with friends and family.
