On January 25, 2021, Excitation Capital Partners Corp. (“Excitation”) completed the US$42.5 million acquisition of the Sanctuary on Broadway Apartments located in Tempe, Arizona.  The acquisition was financed through a US$12 million limited partnership offering in Canada and a US$30.5 million secured loan from Barings Multifamily Capital LLC.  Maxis acted as Canadian counsel to Excitation and was responsible for overall structuring, all Canadian legal matters and coordinating US counsel.
