Elan Hannah is an associate lawyer with Maxis Law, where she advises entrepreneurs, startups, and public and private companies on securities offerings, going-public transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial agreements. Elan works with clients at pivotal moments of growth, bringing a strategic, business-minded approach to capital markets transactions with clarity and confidence. Known for her strong communication skills and engaging presence, Elan has a natural ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, practical advice. She approaches her work with a warm, collaborative style that puts clients at ease while ensuring they feel informed and in control of key decisions.
Elan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. During law school, she spent a semester working full-time at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. A confident and accomplished speaker, she was nominated as the student speaker for her graduation ceremony, and was selected to compete in the Laskin Moot, a national bilingual moot competition in constitutional and administrative law. Before joining Maxis Law, Elan articled and practiced at a notable full-service regional firm in downtown Vancouver, where she gained experience advising on a broad range of corporate matters.
